Publishing Stories That Build Safer Communities

We publish books of hope, and transformation about those impacted by the criminal justice system. Our mission is to strengthen understanding, reduce harm, and contribute to safer communities through meaningful publishing.

Retired prisoner educator RJ Sterling shares stories of over 30 prisoners in Pennsylvania who are serving Life without Parole sentences.

RJ Sterling shares the stories of eight formerly incarcerated men who is living the good life after prison.

This book was re-created from a contest that the Lifers organization held at SCI Phoenix during COVID-19.

More than 1500 copies of this book were purchased and sent to prisoners across the United States at no cost because of generous donations to the YPM Books for Prisoners program.
